Mount Pleasant Church of Christ Cemetery, Lamar County, Alabama

Number 131 on the 2002 Cemetery Map of Lamar County.

 

From Highway 17 north of Millport, take County Road 12 east about two miles to Mt. Pleasant Church; turn into road by church for about one mile to a dead end at the cemetery.

The great majority of the graves in this cemetery are marked by fieldstones which have no inscriptions.  Listed are only those with legible inscriptions, starting from the entrance to the cemetery grounds and working to the rear.  As a result, there are no row designations.  Interspersed are about 65 apparent graves, marked only by fieldstones.

Miller, John E.: born about 1805 South Carolina, died between 1880 – 1887 (Stone inscribed “Buried in this cemetery”)
