Leroy Hollis Kennedy (1864-1896). Leroy Hollis Kennedy was an early elected sheriff of Lamar County, but he died shortly before his term of office began. He was married to Nancy Molloy. ( Courtesy Mary Kennedy Gilmer ).

Nancy Molloy Kennedy ( 1863-1922). Nancy Molloy married Leroy Hollis Kennedy. She was an unusual business woman for her time, there is on record in the Lamar County Courthouse of her mortgage transactions and such. The Molloy’s were Methodist and deeply religious. ( Courtesy of Mary Kennedy Gilmer
