Sulligent Depot

Sulligent Depot. The Frisco Railroad was constructed in 1887 and was called the Kansas City, Memphis and Birmingham Railroad. The depot was once alive with locals leaving for a visit or either relatives coming to the county for a visit. Some folks would gather at the depot to see who was coming in on the train. In 1905 you could ride the train for less than half fare: to all points in Indian and Oklahoma Territories - one way $6.50 or round trip $10.00. Pictured is the depot that I remember.
