Originally known as the Odd Fellows Cemetery

Millport, Lamar County, Alabama 

No. 119 on the 2002 Cemetery Map of Lamar County

Located .4 mile south of Highway 96 on County Road 27, the cemetery is bisected by a paved road named Cemetery Drive.  The older section is west of the drive and the newer to the east.  The two sections are further divided by gravel and grass driveways.  We have numbered each row, beginning with the number 1 in each of the two principal sections assigned to the row nearest the paved road.  Each row is listed from its north end to its south end.  The location of the drives in each row is noted for orientation purposes.

Single spacing indicates multiple graves with a single headstone, or adjacent head- or foot-stones of identical design.  Family plots are treated as one unit, even though they usually extend over two rows.  Unless otherwise noted, parenthetical information is added by the transcribers, and does not appear on the stones.

The cemetery was surveyed by Paul Hays between August 23 – September 3, 2005, with substantial help from Flora Bryant McCool, James R. “Mac” McCool, Julie Estes, Kawatha “Kay” Koonce, and Jim Dierking, and with substantial interference from Hurricane Katrina.
