Officer Derek Moses is a life-long resident of Fayette and a graduate of Fayette County High School. After high school, Derek enlisted in the Alabama National Guard and after completing basic training, attended and graduated from the United States Army Military Police School at Fort McClellan, Alabama. At age 21, Officer Moses began his career with the Fayette Police Department, in April 1996, as a Patrolman. He is a graduate of the 119th session of the University of Alabama Law Enforcement Academy.
Derek is a member of the Fayette County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge. During his time away from work, he enjoys working-out at the gym and training with firearms. Derek also enjoys golf, but most of all, enjoys being with his family.
