Deerlick, Holt Lake

On April 21 the Fayette Bass Club traveled to Holt Lake to fish their third tournament of the season. Fortunately they were greeted with much better weather conditions than they had during the previous two tournaments. Thirty-four boats competed and a total of 116 fish were caught weighing 205 lbs 2 oz.
Don May of Winfield and Ricky Ary of Fayette weighed in 10 fish that tipped the scales at 19 lbs even to take home the First place honors. Their limit was caught on crank baits, carolina rigs and lizards. May also won the top gun trophy with 5 fish weighing 10 lbs 10 oz.
Ronnie Renfroe and Matthew Lindsey of Fayette took the Second place prize with a limit of 10 fish pushing the scales to 12 lbs 8 oz. they used four inch finesse worms to put these fish in the boat.
Justin Nichols and Joey Dubose of Tuscaloosa teamed up to win Third Place with 6 fish weighing 10 lbs 10 oz. They caught their fish on floating worms around vegetation.
Joey Dubose also caught the lunker bass weighing 5 lbs 2 oz.
